TRAINING !!!!!

Here you go, folks...your dates for the Training Meetings.  We are trying something different...less frequent with longer meeting times.  That way we will cover all the material we need to in order to responsibly prepare without burdening you'll with too much.   Here it is, mark your calendars:
 SUNDAY, JUNE 8 from 11 to 2
 WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18 from 6-8
   SUNDAY, JUNE 22 from 11-2.
That's it.  For the Sunday meetings we will order pizza.  Please bring a couple bucks to defray the cost.  For the one Wed meeting, come full.  Maybe we'll get some desert or something.

I know it goes without saying, but please do everything possible to attend.  We understand there may be some family vacations...please let us know.  Otherwise, we look forward to seeing everyone there.

Non-traditional Rent-a-Student Opportunity

On Sunday May 4th the Wycliffe Dinner theater will be held at Woodlands Church. We have been asked to supply workers via Rent a Student to help with the event.

The purpose of the evening will be to inspire and educate our church with a greater awareness of the need for cross-cultural outreach among Bibleless people. It’s all about missions!! And so is Project Portage County…We help them with serving and busing they will help us with financing our project. Win…win for both groups.

This is the need:

Servers: 14-16 people. You would need to arrive by 5:30 pm and would help finish setting tables or chairs, serve the meal, and clear and wash tables. There will be tables set up for the servers, so that you can eat as well as watch the performance. You will clear your assigned tables at the end.

Dishwashers: 8-10 people will wash dishes and repack them after the event. Clean up starts at 9 pm (probably should arrive about 15 minutes prior)

Let us know your job prefer. We can’t guarantee that you will get it, but will do our best.
Please email Pat @ pat@woodlandschurch.org or Jenn @ jenn @woodlandschurch.org if you are available.

incoming...

Stuffs rolling in folks...looks like we will be hosting a Kayak/Carnival/Cook-out event in conjunction with Dive-Point for the Bigs and Littles of Big Brother's/Big Sister's.  This should be a blast!  Everyone will be involved in some capacity...maybe giving Kayak rides, maybe gillin', maybe hosting a carnival game, maybe acting in a groovey skit...

Also, we have been in contact with a family who has many home projects.  They'll be out-of-town while we are there...can you sense a little Extreme Home Makeover...without that Ty fellow...I would love to blow their mind with renovations.  Get yourself some gloves, a tool belt, safety glasses and band-aids.  We're goin' to town!

So What's Next???

The question has been asked......Do I meet at church on the days I'm working Rent-a-Student?
Do we need to bring any supplies? Do we bring our own food? Here are the answers to your questions......

1. No, you will not meet at church. You will be told where you need to go.

2. We will let you know whether or not you need supplies. It depends on the job.

3. That depends on when and where you're working. If you're working both shifts and the job site has says that they'll provide lunch, then you're set to go, but if you're only working one shift and the job site is not providing lunch, then you'll need to pack your own or go home to eat during the hour off.

We will make sure that you have all of the information you need before we send you off to work. No worries........ If you do have anymore questions you can call the student ministries office @ 341-0014 and talk to Jenn or Pat or you can email either one @ jenn@woodlandschurch.org or pat@woodlandschurch.org
